Giving » FAQs

    FAQs:

    1. What does my gift support?

Your gift helps us provide a safe, inspirational place for people from every sector, region, and background to engage around the world’s most challenging issues.

While we seek grants from institutions and charge fees to those who can pay, donors like you provide a significant amount of funding needed each year to operate our programs and our organization. Gifts from individuals also support scholarships that ensure places for extraordinary young innovators and leaders in our sessions, regardless of personal circumstance. The fact is that donors like you provide the lifeblood for all we do.

    2. Is my contribution tax-deductible?

USA: Salzburg Global Seminar is a 501(c)(3) US based nonprofit organization. All contributions from the US are tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.

Austria: If you are a taxpayer in Austria, your gifts to Salzburg Global Seminar are tax-deductible to the extent permissible by law in accordance with § 4a Z. 1 lit. of the Austrian Income Tax law.

United Kingdom: If you are a higher rate taxpayer in the UK, you may reclaim the difference between the basic rate and the higher rate on the amount of your gift through your tax return. For more information on UK tax benefits for charitable giving, please visit the website of HM Revenue & Customs.

We encourage donors from countries outside the US, Austria, and UK to check their country's tax regulations. If you have any questions, please contact our Development office at Development@SalzburgGlobal.org or +1 (202) 637-7682.
